An Appreciative Thought and Thank You

Well this is our last blog, and it has been fun. I have learned a lot about early intervention and the importance of having it in place whether it be Zero to 3, or Birth to 5. Unfortunately we do not utilize the early services as much as we need to, and a lot of child are suffering and it will affect how the child learns in the long run. I enjoyed my time in the classrooms, and love knowing that there are services that a teacher can give as a resource to those parents who have no idea where to turn.

I have to say this has been a very enlightening semester.  I learned a lot through reading your blogs and comments, and want to thank you for all your contributions to this semester. I appreciate the guidance and input I received not only from our professor but each one of you.  Both the blog comments and discussion board made me rethink some things and understand where others come from on others.
I have to give a quick note that I wanted you all to know your feedback was very important to my understanding on how we view issues in early childhood education.
Learning about so many topics in this class, made me so aware of how big early education is, and how far reaching some of our issues that we are advocating for is. I am so happy to state that everything in this class has been positive and educational. Not only did I learn a lot, and it has been pleasure collaboration between us all. The content in all the blogs was excellent.

I will admit this has been challenging at times but because of this experience I have learned a lot about others teaching styles and where I want to go from here. I feel that I have got to know some of the people in this course, and we have been able to share ideas with each other, an experience I would have never been able to see doing in any other class. I have been encouraged and know it is because of all your blogs that you were able to share with us. I think we have found a community of resources, and know that you will be out there to offer support, and I hope I can be a support to you as well.

  1. I agree with you. This has been an enlightening semester and experience. I was able to get through this course with your support. The insights, thoughts and concerns were enlightening. I thank you for helping me rethink and get through this course and semester. It was very challenging in the beginning, but I've managed to get through it as I was able to reflect back on the comments throughout the course. The ideas and experiences we've shared will go with each of us to our next journey to help support our endeavors.

    1. Thank you, I believe it was challenging for all of us in the beginning because we were not sure what we are doing. I have never done a blog in my life and I loved doing it. I am actually thinking of doing one for my classroom and experiences with the kids. I hope I get feed back from all of you even after this class.

  2. Ann,

It has been a great semester and the fact that we have created this amazing community of learning educators has a lot to do with how great it has been. The advantages that we have had with sharing our thoughts and experiences have enriched our learning in a great way. I look forward to put in practice all that has been part of this class and many experiences. Thank you too for all and lets keep going forward in this amazing path.

  3. Ann,
I totally agree with you, the beginning is hard, but as we continued to communicate with others, I got to know how you were. You are about making good grades and a caring about the children in the school you interned at. I enjoyed reading all your posting and hope for the best with in in your internship II.

  4. I hope we all are able to keep in touch with each other after the semester is over. Remember God puts people in our path for a reason. I hope that is true because this has been my favorite class of all time, and I would like to think it is because this is a great bunch of peers and teachers. I like to share thoughts and ideas with other adults and not just the group of four year olds I work with.

    1. Thank you, I try to be polite, and if people read my post in a different view they may of taken things wrong. I guess just like in writing, if not done properly things can be taken out of context. I enjoyed reading your blog as well, it has been a fun course.
